North Adelaide: A Great Tourist Destination

If you think Australia is an exciting place to go, a trip to Adelaide will be a great experience. Adelaide is also considered the most cosmopolitan city in Australia.
North Adelaide is a great place to start touring. A few minutes North of Adelaide’s city centre you’ll find North Adelaide’s tree-lined streets, majestic mansions and relaxed lifestyle.

It is a laid back region during the day where you can relax under an umbrella at a street side cafe. From your vantage point on the street, you will be delighted with the scenery, as North Adelaide is a place of contemporary sophistication mixed with historical buildings. At night the street changes its pace and becomes a vibrant centre for Adelaide nightlife. You can see a movie at the historic Piccadilly Cinema, enjoy a live band at one of the local venues, or enjoy a gourmet meal any night of the week at any of the dozens of restaurants, cafes and hotels.

North Adelaide is home to two of Adelaide’s most loved ‘eat streets’, boasting everything from coffee shops and fast food to cafes, pubs and five-star dining.

Among its historic buildings and boutique gift stores, O’Connell Street offers a diverse selection of some of the cities finest Italian, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, Spanish, Mexican, Nepalise and Modern Australian cuisine. Just a short walk away is cosmopolitan Melbourne Street, packed with classy cafes, elegant restaurants and hip pubs that just ooze style.

You’ll find some fabulous children’s playgrounds in North Adelaide, parklands to stroll through, the Adelaide Aquatic Centre, Piccadilly Cinema, the City of Adelaide Golf Links and the redeveloped Adelaide Oval.
